FAQ
Practical answers about what the Huske beta remembers, how review flows work, and how you stay in control.
Beta notice / Effective July 18, 2026
What does Huske remember?
Huske stores workspace-scoped project records, services, links, roles, owners, costs, provider facts, capture reviews, Project Agent suggestions, decisions, and cleanup context. It is project memory, not a secrets manager, source-code scanner, or complete finance ledger.
Does Huske read source code?
Current GitHub, GitLab.com, and Bitbucket Cloud imports are metadata-only and do not fetch repository file contents. User-initiated context analysis can retain pasted or uploaded text in this browser for seven days so setup survives interruption. Raw context does not enter Huske's database; detected secrets are redacted before optional analysis and only redacted analysis or accepted derived memory can sync.
Will a refresh erase what I typed?
Participating setup, project, capture, relationship, and service forms save recovery state on this device as you edit. Safe fields also sync to your authenticated Huske workspace. Drafts expire after seven days of inactivity, and Huske never automatically submits an unsubmitted creation form. A fully offline reload still needs connectivity to reopen the authenticated app.
How do captures become memory?
Web, API, import, and extension captures are staged in Decisions. You can review the suggested project and service details, adjust them, approve them, or dismiss them before they become durable Huske records.
What can the Chrome extension access?
The production extension uses activeTab for the page you invoke it on, storage for the configured Huske app URL, and the exact https://huske.io/* host permission for Huske requests. A capture is sent to Huske as a staged review item; the extension does not receive broad browsing-history access.
Which providers can connect?
The beta supports GitHub, GitLab.com, Bitbucket Cloud, Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare, and Railway. Imports and syncs read project, repository, deployment, site, worker, and service metadata according to the connected provider. Stripe billing is not active.
Does Huske use AI?
Project-context analysis can optionally use OpenAI when configured. Huske performs secret detection and redaction before that request, uses a deterministic rules fallback when AI is unavailable, and does not store the raw context after analysis.
How are costs represented?
Costs are user-entered or provider-informed project-memory fields for orientation and cleanup review. They may be monthly, yearly, usage-based, free, trial, or unknown; Huske is not an accounting or billing system.
Can I export and restore my workspace?
Settings can export Huske records as JSON. Restore always previews first and conservatively creates or reuses projects, services, associations, and links. Activity, captures, suggestions, provider facts, provider metrics, and credentials are deliberately skipped.
What is the difference between disconnect and purge?
Disconnect removes the stored provider credential while existing facts remain visible as stale history. Purge separately removes that provider's facts, sync history, and provider activity history while keeping user-approved Huske projects, services, links, and costs.
What does Project Agent access?
A Project Agent grant is scoped to one saved project context pack. It can read that pack and stage suggestions for Decisions; it cannot export the workspace, mutate providers, read secrets, change billing or DNS, or approve its own suggestions. Grants expire and can be rotated or revoked.
How does workspace deletion work?
Deletion locks the Huske workspace immediately. Workspace records remain recoverable for 30 days and then become eligible for scheduled permanent purge. This does not delete the Clerk identity or waitlist email; request identity or waitlist deletion at hello@huske.io.
